I am attending St. Louis Community College- Forest Park.  I am majoring in General Transfers Studies as of right now, but once I have completed that I am moving forward to working toward my degree in accounting.  I have always loved working with numbers and enjoyed working with money these are two of my passions in life.  I decided to go back to school after being out of school for almost 13 to 14 years because I was getting tired of not getting anywhere in life with just a high school diploma. But I knew that to get anywhere in life I had to step up and finish getting my degree.  Getting my degree means a lot to me and feeling more confident about myself.  I will also look forward to seeing myself in a better position in my life that I never knew that I could be. I am so excited for this journey that I have started.  Thanks to my children I have even a bigger purpose to finish school and to better myself, because everything I do, I do for them because they are the most important people in my life.  Being a single mother of two has shown me so much, such as being able to start school and wanting to show my children that no matter how old you are you can always go back to school and that it’s never too late to better yourself.  Having this laptop will help me out tremendously in working towards my degree, because by me being a stay-at-home mom it gives me the opportunities that most people do not have when trying to go back to school while raising their children. I will be able to attend school online and continue my education without any disruption while raising my two children.  Education has always been very important to me, and it is the key to a better future.  When I found out I had to wait to go back to school because I did not have the recourses I was truly upset, and I did not know how I was going to complete my degree.  Having the help, you need today is so hard to come by, that’s why I am so pleased to hopefully be receiving the assistance that I need.  That’s why I was so excited to hear that I may be receiving help to continue my education and better myself for the future as well as my children.  Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
