My name is Maryjean; I will be a college freshman at Southern Illinois Carbondale majoring in Biology with Pre-Medicine. My mother is a single mother of 4 and I’m her only girl. I am diagnosed with Von Williobrands disease; which is a blood disorder. Even though I have been faced with many adversities I don’t let it stop me from trying to fulfill my dreams. As you have already heard college isn’t cheap and I need some financial support for my housing and books. Any support would be greatly appreciated. My parents and family members have supported me but we can’t do it alone. The financial assistance received will allow me to focus more on my studies. I will work hard in school and hopefully one day I can eventually give back to other scholars facing challenges that I am currently going through. Thank you so much for reading my plead.
